Life in Campus

The session 2008-2009 began with a plethora of activities engaging students and faculties from various departments. These activities were aimed at helping them to develop their personalities and keep them upto date in the technological realm. Some of the events organized were:

• Seminar on "Introduction to Patents" (17th Oct 08) by Mr. Heshasham F. Abdul Basit. The goal of the seminar was to make the students aware of the patenting process, and the advantages of filing patents.
• Techie Quest 09 (9th Feb. to 13th Feb. ) organized by Mr. Agha Asim Husain (EC) & Mr. Ashok Madan (CS) with the aim of preparing students for the aptitude as well as technical quizzes asked in various MNCs and Public Sector exams. In all 487 students from various departments participated in the quiz, making the event a grand success.
• Basic Email Ettiquets (24th Feb. 09) The lecture was organized by EDC for the students of MBA and aimed at teaching them how to write a professional email. Over 60 students attended the lecture.
• Robotics Workshop (9th & 10th Feb. 09) by Think Ware, Noida. The workshop targeted the students of first year. At the end of the workshop was coordinated by: Mr. Naseem Rao (EC), Mr. Afzal Ahmad(EI).
• Seminars on Enterpunership (9th Feb. 09) delivered by Mr. Mustafa, Manager, JSS, STEP (Science & Technology Entrepreneure Park), Noida
• Training on Desktop SuperComputing using NVIDIAs Computer Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) SDK on latest GPUs (Graphics Processing Units) by NVIDIA (on-going). With PCCS initiative of this training, NVIDIA (the world leader in manufacturing of graphics cards), listed the name of PCCS on its website among the few organizations world-wide engaged in teaching and research using CUDA. In India the other colleges where it is being taught include: IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad, and VIT.
• Training Seminar (16th & 17th Nov. 08) On managing for Results (The MBO way & The Power of Leadership, Motivation & Teamwork) conducted by Mrs.Pushplata Singh, Mumbai
• Management Development Programme ( 28th & 29th Jan 09) On Finance for Non Finance Executives
